This past weekend, my friends Coral, Isaac, Lorne and I (and Alexi) took a little road trip up to the Twin Cities to hear this exceptional band. I want to tell you about them. Rend Collective Experiment is an Christian folk band of Irish musicians, and they are FABULOUS. Their music makes you come alive.
(I have to say, I am a little bit partial to Irish music- I'm easily swept away in it.) And they have this incredible knack for having tons and tons of energy, all the time. At least, on stage they do. It's liberating. At the end of the concert, they had us "all put an arm around our neighbor" and sing with them. I kid you not- my face hurt at the end from smiling so much. There I was, in between two of my closest friends, in a room with hundreds of strangers, singing and listening to this music and praising God at the same time. If you ever have a chance to see Rend Collective Experiment, don't pass it up. For now, listen to this:
