This weekend my pal Haley and I took a drive to the lovely twin cities area to see our friend Regan. It was a blast! not to mention::
sweet time with Afton and Anna a fancy date to a fancy place realizing prayer is more important than whatever else you were prioritizing slow sunday morning Adam joined me in the feminine hygiene aisle at Target. Check. here's to a great week, friends! Make it worth something. I feel like happiness is a word that I'm often afraid to use. Like I'm supposed to say "joyful" instead, or some other word that holds a deeper meaning. But how great is it, to be happy? I love it! And today I have just felt full of it. This whole weekend, in fact. And honestly, I could do a little dance and jump around because it is such a beautiful, light, lovely feeling. Thank you Jesus for that. Here's some happy things. so thankful for the place that I live, the people I know, and the God that I serve. He is faithful now and always.
^^ this was what I woke up to today ^^this was my walk home today ^^ this is a picture of a slow morning ^^ this is a hipster with flannel pants
So, I'm a little embarrassed, as I just realized this this about my 3rd post or so having to do with Adam. So sorry about that. BUT! This weekend we spent a few days at his home, with his parents, sassy high school brother, and two stinkin' cute basset hounds. It was great fun and was full of delicious food and good people. Here's some pics. 'twas a swell weekend, if I do say so myself.
Yesterday I asked Adam if he wanted to go on a photography adventure. He said yes. So we grabbed our cameras and drove for a while, until we found a place we liked; a forest that looked promisingly wander-able from the side of the road. We got out of the car and walked around. He said, "give me a word." So I said, "quiet." Then he said "Capture quietness." Then we ventured off on our own, to explore the softness and stillness of creation. And all was quiet except for the snapping of the camera lens and our feet on the forest floor. And it was simply beautiful. these are some of my photos: these are some of adam's photos: Yesterday was simply one of my favorite days. Here's why:
-I went to two pancake breakfasts in one morning -It was one of my dearest friends birthdays -Holly and Alexis and Ella and Carly and Emily -Adventuring with Alexi and Anna -Randy's for lunch -Mt. Simon -Promise by Ben Howard with Alexi -photography adventures with Adam -playing guitar alone for a long time -celebrating my Megsy's birthday -cheese curds (my favorite. seriously.) -Michael Scott Meet two of my favorite people on earth. They are the best of the best. I wish everyone could know them. I even wish everyone could try and do homework with them and realize it's an impossible task. And then spend the rest of the night in laughter. I'm not sure what I'd do without them. |
