Hello, friends! First, I must apologize for the rather unorganized way that this blog has looked lately. You see, I've been wanting to change things up for while, but unable to put my finger on how exactly to go about it.
Then, a few days ago, I stumbled across a letter from one of my dearest friends. At the end of that letter, it read these words.
"Be loved and enjoyed. Keep letting the Lord bless you in big ways by the smallest things. It's the best way to live- seeing small."
And that just really seemed to hit me, because isn't that what this whole blog of mine isn't about? I write about the simple, small things that affect me, and the beautiful things in life.
So I got thinking, and hit lots of roadblocks again. (Some of those roadblocks were infact, homework. Bleh.) But some wise words from my friend Alexi reminded me that, while this blog is on the internet because I want to share this with others, it's really just a really cool, beautiful way for me to display my love for God in a creative way.
I must say it is a bit of a tug at my heart to rid of the old name, LayMeDown, because it is such a beautiful description of the way I desire to live. But as I sat on my little purple couch contemplating blog life (not doing homework), I realized that seeing small means the same thing as lay me down. Both describe the way that beauty effects me, the way that becoming simpler gives way to a much more intricate view of life, and ultimately the way that I desire to seek Jesus more and more every day. I hope that you will join me in discovering more about the adventure that lies before us here on this earth, because I am pretty darn pumped.
So here's to living simpler, loving deeper, and seeing smaller.
