Well folks, it's about halfway through the summer (maybe even more than half?), and I'm hitting that "how on earth is it July 22nd who put life on fast forward" feeling. Everyone feels that way sometimes, I'm assuming. But what's funny is that usually when time seems to fly by, it is when we are occupied with exciting things or jumping from one place to the next. That is not the case for my summer. It has been quiet, filled mostly with working, making small little trips to visit friends, reading, and watching too many episodes of The Office.
But if there is one thing I am learning, it is the truth that God is not found only where I feel him most. My acknowledgment of God's presence doesn't define where and when he meets me- he is present, at all times, in all circumstances. Whether we see it or not, he is working through us and forming us in ways he always knew that he would. He is the potter, we are the clay. He is always the potter, we are always the clay.
So I am learning, I am changing.
>>>>>>
strengthened resilience
the power of prayer
becoming a better baker
snail mail is one of my love languages
learning how to do long distance
the nature of failure
savin money
loving the hardest for me to love
reading
I have no idea what i am doing with my future
the realization that road trips are my favorite thing ever
learning that i am not as disciplined as I thought I was
I love plain yogurt with honey and blueberries and pecans more than anything
vegan cookies aren't as easy as they seem
you get out what you put in
God chose us before we were beautiful
I want to be a good student
I taught myself how to make jam
playing guitar
God can really work through music
I love Duluth more than most places
He is greater.
