Yesterday we took pictures for Audacious. We put on our ugly Christmas sweaters. We baked cookies in between rehearsals just for fun. It was a lovely day, and a good kind of busy.
This is the time of year when my life becomes hectic and crazy, consisting of 8 hour days working on music and spending more time in Haas Fine Arts Center than a non-music major probably should. But that's quite alright with me. Because me and the 9 other girls that I sing with work really, really hard at something we all really love. And good things come out of it, like being extremely goofy sometimes, and delicious (although not quite baked) sugar cookies, and so much laughter I can't sing anymore, and precious pictures with Christmas decorations, and beautiful friendships. And while it can be challenging, and difficult, and straight up exhausting, it's 100% worth it. It always is. Because it's just not something that you're going to experience anywhere else. And the relationships and deep friendships that I've formed with the girls in my group are absolutely irreplaceable. So here's a big shout out to Carly, Brianna, Rachel, Alyse, Laura, Alissa x2, Carla, Annie. And Holly, Emily, Ella, Alexis, and Marie. They're a little piece of my heart that no one else can fill.
Needless to say, I am thankful.
