I think there's a lot that we overlook in the concept of a day. So much happens in one day- we wake up, for starters. I'd say that's pretty remarkable. We wake up with the renewed idea and promise that today exists as another chance, another opportunity, to be alive. We wake up. We are alive. Then, because we are alive, we are given roughly 18 hours, give or take, to live in that time. And what's more, we get to choose what we do with our time. We can literally do anything that we want. Isn't it funny then, that sometimes we view being alive as a hassle? The phrase, "I am just trying to get through the day," should be erased from all human memory ever. What is beautiful and true about a day is that we get to experience the day. I think that we miss a lot, throughout the courses of our days. I think we often miss the mark, and don't see what we are surrounded by. It's really a shame- because often times, there is a lot to be seen. All the time, actually. Of course, I recognize that some days, it is harder than others to want to seek that vitality in life. But I think the simple act of remembering that there is beauty all the time, not just when we choose to look at it or want to see it, makes a world of difference. It makes life look a little more lovely, and a lot more worth living.
